Agribusiness Council of Indiana (ACI) is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2026 scholarships: Micah Smith, recipient of the Larry Foster Scholarship, and Calvin Myers, recipient of the John Anglin Jr. Memorial Scholarship.
Each year, ACI awards scholarships to outstanding Indiana students pursuing higher education and demonstrating a commitment to agriculture, leadership and service. The scholarships honor individuals who have made significant contributions to Indiana’s agricultural community while helping support the next generation of agricultural leaders. “ACI is proud to recognize Micah Smith and Calvin Myers for their accomplishments and the leadership they have already demonstrated in their schools, communities and the agricultural industry,” said ACI President & CEO Melissa Rekeweg. “Investing in students like these is an investment in the future of Indiana agriculture. Their commitment to service, leadership and continued learning is exactly what our industry needs to remain strong and innovative for generations to come.” Smith, a graduate of Southwood High School in Wabash, Indiana, is attending Purdue University, where he is pursuing a degree in biology. Smith has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and service throughout high school and college. His involvement has included serving as a baseball captain, FCA student leader, student congress vice president, yearbook editor and 4-H shooting sports president, among numerous other activities.
