Agribusiness Council of Indiana Honors Harold Cooper with Lifetime Achievement Award

Agribusiness Council of Indiana is proud to announce that Harold Cooper, retired CEO of Premier Companies, has received ACI's Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes individuals whose careers have significantly advanced Indiana agriculture and agribusiness while demonstrating exceptional leadership and service.
Throughout a distinguished career spanning decades, Cooper helped guide Premier Companies' growth while championing innovation, customer service and the cooperative business model. Under his leadership, Premier Companies became a trusted partner for farmers and rural communities across Indiana, providing agronomy, energy, grain and agricultural services that strengthened the state's agricultural economy. "Harold Cooper's career exemplifies the leadership, integrity and commitment that have helped make agriculture one of the strongest sectors of Indiana’s economy," said Melissa Rekeweg, president and CEO of the Agribusiness Council of Indiana. "His contributions to Premier Companies, the cooperative system and the broader agricultural community have left a lasting legacy. We are honored to recognize Harold with ACI's Lifetime Achievement Award." |

Cooper's influence extends beyond his professional accomplishments. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as a respected leader, mentor and advocate for Indiana agriculture, helping shape the future of the industry through his service, vision and dedication.
"Harold's impact on Indiana agriculture reaches far beyond the organizations he led," said Bryan Fischer, chair of the ACI board of directors. "He has been a steadfast advocate for farmers, a champion for rural communities and a leader who has consistently worked to strengthen the agribusiness industry. His dedication and accomplishments make him highly deserving of this recognition."
The award was presented during the Agribusiness Council of Indiana's annual golf outing on June 18, 2026, where more than 100 industry leaders, colleagues and friends will gathered to golf, network and celebrate Cooper’s remarkable career and contributions to Indiana agribusiness.
