Alexandra French, Associate, Barnes & Thornburg 
A savvy litigator, Alexandra French brings a winning combination of trial experience and a common-sense, efficient approach to advocacy. Alex comes from a long line of entrepreneurs and agribusiness owners, a background which helps her keep her clients’ business needs top of mind throughout the dispute resolution process.

Alex is skilled in collaborating with clients throughout virtually all stages of contractual, product liability, toxic tort, and environmental litigation. She brings a keen intellect to resolving factual and legal issues and developing sound strategies.  

Alex’s connections to Indiana’s agricultural community give her unique insight and sensitivity to the needs of her agribusiness clients in particular. She also has significant experience representing clients in the construction industry.

Before turning to private practice, Alex served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Paul D. Mathias of the Indiana Court of Appeals. She was also an intern with the U.S. Supreme Court, United Kingdom Parliament, the office of former Indiana Lt. Gov. Rebecca S. Skillman, and the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.

Kelsey Dilday, Associate, Barnes & Thornburg
Kelsey’s litigation experience includes insurance coverage, product liability, toxic tort, breach of contract, and collection disputes.

In the area of insurance coverage litigation, Kelsey advises on virtually all stages of the dispute, from legal analysis of initial coverage to trial and appeal. As part of this practice, Kelsey has helped litigate coverage disputes related to professional liability, builder’s risk, commercial general liability, commercial property, and cyber policies.

Throughout her time at Barnes & Thornburg, Kelsey has also gained product liability experience through drug and medical device litigation for some of the country’s leading drug and medical device manufacturers. Kelsey strives to work with these clients to effectuate a fair result for both the client and other parties involved, whether through settlement or at trial. 

Prior to beginning her full time career at Barnes & Thornburg, Kelsey was a summer associate for two summers in the firm’s Indianapolis office. During her undergraduate years, Kelsey gained legal experience through her work at the Law Office of Monica Doerr in West Lafayette, Indiana, and Student Legal Services at Purdue University.
